A few weeks ago I searched “Inflexion Software” on Google. I’m not sure why I did it. I guess every now and then you need to see yourself from the outside, like when you catch your reflection in a store mirror and think is that really how I look? The first result took me to the same old site. I loaded it.

And I didn’t recognize myself.

There’s something uncomfortable about that.

Not in a dramatic way. The site worked, it said the right things, and it had the same brand colors as always. But there was a strange, subtle distance between what it said we were and what we actually did every day. It felt like when someone introduces you with a job title you held three years ago, and you just smile and nod without correcting them because explaining the shift would take too long.

So we changed it.
